Sergio Busquets becomes the latest name to join the Major League Soccer outfit’s growing cast list as a free agent.

The midfielder’s former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi is already onboard in the Sunshine State and more are expected to follow.

Jordi Alba, another whose contract with the newly crowned LaLiga champions expired last season, is set to complete the ex-Blaugrana trio.

There could soon be another familiar name from recent Camp Nou history joining Busquets in the Inter Miami dugout, too.

Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino is heavily tipped to take over Inter Miami and work several of the players who spent a fleeting season with him in 2013/14.

The Argentina will be hoping Busquets and co. can deliver a more successful outcome than that forgettable season as Barça finished largely empty-handed.

The race for Davide Frattesi is hotting up with three of Serie A’s big hitters holding talks over the Sassuolo midfielder, as confirmed by the club’s CEO Giovanni Carnevali.

“We’re talking with Roma, Inter and Juventus,” Carnevali told Il Messaggero.

“Roma hold a 30% sell-on clause on Frattesi but that doesn’t influence us. It’s also important to keep in mind that we don’t need to sell him.”

“Frattesi hasn’t expressed any particular preference. He’s only mentioned he would like to remain in Italy.”
