They had been hoping to loan Fernandes to Los Che in exchange for the striker.

The Manchester City winger is said to be upset that Bayern have not pursued a move this winter.

It’s busy at Tottenham with a few days remaining. Sky Sports reported late on Tuesday that Steven Bergwijn has passed a medical ahead of his €32m move from PSV.

Olivier Giroud has also emerged as a shock target, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting the north London club have offered the ex-Arsenal striker an 18-month deal.
