Domestic deals

A report in the Dutch press on Friday claims that Manchester United are prepared to bid for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer with the Italians asking for €120m.

The Telegraph claim that Everton are expected to drop their £60m asking price for English winger Anthony Gordon and accept around £40m plus add-ons after their original valuation put Newcastle United off.

Arsenal have been told they will have to pay Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi’s €60m release clause if they want to sign the 23-year-old Spain international in January, claim the Times.

Football.London have confirmed Chelsea may have to delay plans to sign French right-back Malo Gusto in January with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas saying he expects the player to remain in France until at least the summer.

90min meanwhile say Tottenham are confident that a deal for Sporting Lisbon and Spain defender Pedro Porro will be finalised in the coming days after difficulties in negotiations over the 23-year-old’s release clause.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal are thought to be keen on signing Amadou Onana from Everton but Het Nieuwsblad claim he has turned down their advances to stay on Merseyside.

On the continent

Gazzetta dello Sport say that Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United are all interested in Netherlands and Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries, with Inter Milan setting a price of €40m for the 26-year-old.

Sky Sports Italia claim that Milan are keen so sign both Nicolo Zaniolo and Allan Saint-Maximin in the final few days of the transfer window.

Christian Falk is a transfer journalist in Germany with great contacts at Bayern Munich. And he has been speaking to Bild about their potential bid for Harry Kane.

“Bayern always knew that Tottenham would be the most difficult part of potential negotiations over the future of Harry Kane.

“It’s always been about whether or not he’s going to sign a new contract with Spurs – if he doesn’t, they’ll be there. They’re aware, of course, that English players are generally reluctant to leave the UK, and that he wants to make history with records in the Premier League.

“They remain optimistic, nonetheless.”
