The last match the Rossoneri played took place on November 13, and the next time they step on the pitch for a Serie A game is January 4 (against Salernitana).

Yesterday, after a long vacation, the players who have not been involved in the World Cup, returned to training at Milanello as Milan began their preparation for the second part of the season.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, goalkeeper Mike Maignan, defender Davide Calabria and winger Alexis Saelemaekers did not work with the rest of the squad, as they are still injured. However, all three are close to returning after being out with an injury for quite a while.

Next Sunday (December 11), Milan will head to Dubai for a training camp, and coach Stefano Pioli – according to il Corriere dello Sport – will find Simon Kjær and Charles De Ketelaere there, as the two have been eliminated from the World Cup in the Group Stage following extremely disappointing showings from Denmark and Belgium respectively. Theo Hernández, Olivier Giroud, Sergiño Dest, Fodé Ballo-Touré and Rafael Leão are still in the competition with their national teams.

Milan will play several friendly matches in the coming months: on December 8 vs Lumezzane, on December 13 against Arsenal, on December 16 against Liverpool and on December 30 vs PSV.
