Toulouse v Union St Gilloise Preview | Must win for Union to keep Europa League campaign alive

Union St Gilloise will travel to Toulouse knowing that they must win to keep their chances of finishing second alive. Given that many assume Liverpool will have no problems with LASK, a defeat for Union in France would see them having no chance of qualifying for the next round of the Europa League. Their best hope of knock out European football would then be to finish third ahead of LASK, who they are currently just one point ahead of.

In the reverse fixture in Brussels, Union and Toulouse played out a 1-1 draw. On reflection, Union had enough chances to win the game and will now be regretting not being able to grab the three points after they lost to LASK last time out. Union are still the league leaders in Belgium and should be going in with confidence. There are plenty of goals in the side, with Mohamed Amoura (eight), Dennis Eckert (six) and Gustaf Nilsson (six) all finding the net regularly. Cameron Puertas is the main provider, with 11 assists in all competitions already.

Toulouse are coming in to the game following a 1-0 defeat to Nice at the weekend. Thijs Dallinga leads the side with four goals this season. Three points for the French side would give them a comfortable six point lead over Union.
