Toulouse have rejected an offer in excess of €15m from a Bundesliga club for Farès Chaïbi, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
The 20-year-old Algerian winger recorded 15 goal contributions (8 goals, 7 assists) in 41 games across all competitions last season for Toulouse. Per the report, Toulouse have rejected three offers from the unnamed Bundesliga club and with a contract until 2025, the player would also welcome a move to the Premier League.
But switching from Ligue 1 to the Bundesliga is a common theme in recent seasons. At Bayer Leverkusen, Mitchel Bakker, Moussa Diaby and Amine Adli have all made the switch in recent seasons while Christopher Nkunku and Ibrahima Konaté, both of whom have now departed, both made the switch to RB Leipzig, as well as Mohamed Simakan.
Back in April, it was reported via our colleagues at Get French Football News that Chaïbi has reached a verbal agreement to join Eintracht Frankfurt.
