Francesco Totti liked the Instagram post sent out by former Giallorossi President Rosella Sensi regarding the sacking of Ivan Juric and the ongoing hunt for a new head coach, which also demanded ‘respect’ for the loyal supporters at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma sacked their second coach of the season over the weekend, dismissing Juric, who had only been appointed as a successor to Daniele De Rossi in September. The Gialorossi currently sit in 12th place in Serie A, with 13 points from their opening 12 matches of the 2024-25 season.
Roma are currently on the hunt for a new coach. Massimiliano Allegri and Roberto Mancini have been described as the ‘dream’ options, a return for Rudi Garcia is reportedly being evaluated, while Frank Lampard and De Rossi (again) seem unlikely at this stage.
Totti has not spoken publicly since the sacking of Juric over the weekend, but he has sent a subtle hint as to his opinion through a like he left on the former Roma President’s Instagram profile.
Sensi, who held the Roma presidency between 2008 and 2011, wrote: “Seeing my beloved Roma lose again drives me crazy, but makes me thing at the same time. There are many things I don’t understand.
“I think it’s time for the owners to show us the way they want to go in the future and what awaits us after Juric. Many people have asked me what I’d do right now. It’s not easy, I assure you. We have had difficult times in the past, but we always respected Roma fans, as I’m sure the Friedkin family will.
“I hope the future will be better, and that from tomorrow, we’ll start on a new journey made up of joy and winning.”
