Tottenham winger Bergwijn: Nuno gives me lots of confidence

Tottenham Hotspur winger Steven Bergwijn praised manager Nuno Espirito Santo for giving him a lot of confidence.

The Dutch attacking talent was speaking to the media ahead of Spurs' Europa Conference League match at Vitesse.

Asked what he thought of Nuno's recent praise, where the manager called him unique, very talented, and fantastic, Bergwijn responded: "Yeah, a lot, a lot.

"Of course it's good when a manager speaks to you like this. I get a lot of confidence from him and the staff at the club, so I'm very happy."

He added about going back to Holland to play the Europa League game: "Yes, it's always special to play in your home country. I'm just happy that I'm back and that I'm fit, that's the most important thing for me."
