Manchester City are closing in on another Premier League title triumph but they cannot afford to slip up at Tottenham on Tuesday, with the hosts attempting to finish the season strongly themselves to seal a European place.

Scheduled to kick-off at 8pm, this match will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.

Two more hurdles for relentless City

Arsenal’s hard-fought victory at Manchester United on Sunday means the title scrap will go to the final day of the season no matter what the outcome is at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, another victory for the Citizens will leave them on the brink of the title ahead of their home game with West Ham on Sunday.

City have turned on the style at exactly the right time again and head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the back of seven straight league wins.

The 4-0 romp at Fulham on Saturday was as comfortable as the scoreline suggests and even though they have only won one of their six trips to Spurs’ new home, they will be confident of getting another three points to move them back above Arsenal ahead of Sunday’s final round of fixtures.

Spurs could still finish in the Champions League places, but that is now out of their hands following a recent poor run of form, and it seems unlikely that Ange Postecoglou’s men will do local rivals Arsenal a huge favour in the title race by taking something off City.

Tottenham vs Manchester City team news

Tottenham forward Richarlison has picked up a calf injury and will miss the last two games of the season.

Yves Bissouma sustained a knee injury against Burnley and is also out, with either Giovani Lo Celso or Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg set to replace him in midfield.

Timo Werner, Ben Davies, Destiny Udogie, Fraser Forster and Ryan Sessegnon all remain on the sidelines for the hosts for the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile, Guardiola has had the luxury of having a virtually fully-fit squad to choose from for the run-in, but for the Spurs trip there is a doubt over defender Nathan Ake, who scored the late winner when the two sides met at this venue in the FA Cup in January.

Ake was substituted in the first half of the win over Fulham with a foot problem and was clearly in discomfort when replaced by Kyle Walker.

The visitors do not have any other injury concerns and Jack Grealish should be available again after he sat out the trip to Craven Cottage due to illness.

Jeremy Doku and John Stones were both on the bench at the weekend, the latter failing to get on, so those two are in contention for recalls should Guardiola make changes.
