Tottenham welcome Arsenal to N17 for a huge north London derby on Sunday in a match which will have big implications on the title race and who will finish fourth.

OneFootball Videos

Spurs will have had 15 days off since a 4-0 humbling at Newcastle, in which time Aston Villa have taken firm control of fourth spot having played three times during the gap.

The Gunners meanwhile, looked to be almost out of the title race after losing at home to Aston Villa, but back-to-back wins over Wolves and then their thrashing of Chelsea mean the pressure is back on Manchester City to produce the goods in their two games in hand.

Another Arsenal win would surely end Spurs’ hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season. A win for Spurs could similarly end the Gunners’ season aims.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Tottenham vs Arsenal is scheduled for a 2pm BST kick-off on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

The match will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham vs Arsenal team news

Tottenham are without left-back Destiny Udogie and are sweating over the fitness of right-back Pedro Porro. Both Ben Davies and Emerson Royal are ready in reserve should they be required, while January signing Radu Dragusin could also be drafted in.

Up front, Richarlison is expected to be fit after around three weeks out of action, and his involvement would push Heung-min Son to the wing where he would likely be joined by Brennan Johnson, Spurs most in-form forward.

Arsenal came through the thumping win over Chelsea unscathed, meaning Jurrien Timber is their only injury absentee. The centre-back made his comeback for the Under-21s in midweek, and scored, but will not be risked in the derby.

Tottenham vs Arsenal prediction

Spurs will solely miss Udogie, and a possible Porro absence is equally as damaging, against an Arsenal side brimming with confidence and gunning for the title.

Ange Postecoglou almost had the Gunners’ number in the reverse fixture, drawing 2-2 at the Emirates, but this is a completely different test in the season run-in and Spurs will need the likes of James Maddison to rediscover his form to have a chance of taking points off the league leaders.

Arsenal to win, 3-1.
