Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro has on Thursday spoken out over the surprise speculation linking him with a move to Spain, with Real Madrid.
Defender Porro, for his part, is in the midst of what has been a fine start to the new campaign.
Featuring from the off in all seven of Tottenham’s Premier League outings, the 25-year-old has shone from his berth at right-back, chipping in with a solitary goal, too.
As much, evidently, has not gone unnoticed across the continent, with recent days having seen it suggested that Real Madrid could be planning a future proposal for Porro.
The La Liga champions recently lost first-choice right-back Dani Carvajal to a long-term injury, meaning reinforcements in the position are expected to be prioritised with a view to next season.
And, if his latest comments are anything to go by, then it would appear that Porro would be more than happy to fill this role.
In quotes gathered by Relevo, and relaid by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, on Thursday, the thrice-capped Spanish international explained:
“Of course I’m proud with these links, it means I’m doing things well. If that happens one day, it happens. Now I’m fully focused on my club, Tottenham.”
