Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane wants to banish the demons of Iceland and defeat Germany in the round of 16.

The Three Lions take on bitter rivals Germany at Wembley on Tuesday.

Kane, who is set to lead the line for England, wants to banish the memory of losing to Iceland in the round of 16 at Euro 2016.

"It was one of the toughest losses I've had so far in my career," declared Kane, per the Daily Mirror.

"We had high expectations of ourselves and the country had high expectations of us as a team and we fell short on that night which was hard to take.

"But I've always said you definitely learn from experiences like that, you learn from the losses you have in your career.

"Sometimes, games like that give you more motivation to go and be successful in the future

"But I think there were only two or three who were playing in that game that are here with us in this squad.

"From our point of view, it's good to have had that experience and learn from it but the bottom line is we have to go out and show that against Germany."
