Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane may not be interested in a move to Bayern Munich this summer, Sky Sports reporter Micheal Bridge has told GiveMeSport.

The German giants are one club who are said to be interested in the 29-year-old, but Bridge says, from what he has heard, a move to the Allianz Arena might not appeal to him at this moment in time.

Tottenham transfer news – Harry Kane

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham’s Premier League rivals Manchester United want to sign Kane in the summer.

The same outlet, however, states that Bayern are also interested in the England captain, so there could be a real tussle for his signature in the next transfer window.

By then, he will have entered the final 12 months of his contract, meaning Tottenham could be forced to sell their talisman.

There is still hope that he will put pen to paper on a new deal, though. As per The Athletic, Kane remains open to signing an extension at Hotspur Way.

What has Michael Bridge said about Harry Kane and Bayern Munich?

Bridge has told GMS that he was informed by someone close to Kane that the forward is not interested in joining Bayern right now.

On Kane, the Sky Sports reporter said: “He’s so keen to break the Premier League record and other records domestically. I spoke to someone quite close to his camp in October and I mentioned Bayern Munich. He said that move just would not interest him at the moment.

“And then I thought to myself as someone who watches him week in, week out, he could probably go to them when he’s 32 and still probably score about 25 goals and even drop back as a No.10. So I don’t think he’s got anything to worry about in terms of honours and winning things. He could end up winning two Bundesliga titles and a Champions League hypothetically still.”

Where will Harry Kane be playing his football next season?

Given the fact that Kane does have the chance to become the highest goalscorer in Premier League history, you suspect he will opt to remain in England.

Later down the line, he may very well fancy a challenge abroad. For now, though, the Three Lions star will probably either remain at Tottenham or join another club in his homeland like United.

Kane currently has 199 Premier League goals and needs another 62 to surpass Alan Shearer’s record of 260.
