Tottenham sign Argentine wonderkid compared to Suárez by Messi

Tottenham have secured the signing of one of Argentina’s brightest prospects by bringing in Alejo Véliz from Rosario Central.

The 19-year-old has arrived for a reported £15m plus a potential £5m in bonuses, which makes him the most expensive sale in Rosario history.

Véliz has signed a contract in north London which runs until 2029, and he will wear the number 36 shirt.

Lionel Messi recently likened his compatriot to a young Luis Suárez.
