Spurs to start testing NHS Vaccine pass for men and women attending Spurs games

Tottenham Hotspur, via an official statement, have announced trials for NHS vaccine pass. The statement goes on to suggest that the club will start to verify the vaccination or COVID status of supporters attending the games. The process will debut against Arsenal.

Both clubs will play a pre-season friendly on 8th August (men and women).

The club will be hosting a capacity crowd for the first time since March 2020, when the pandemic meant that stadiums could only host a restricted audience.

The need for verification comes to full fill governments criteria for a club being in condition to host large events. The Government have set a road map for stadiums to return to full capacity.

Tottenham brace themselves to host a capacity crowd once again at N17.

Supporters who have not received both jabs can enter the stadium. However, they will be required to take a PCR or rapid lateral flow test.

Fans who are vaccinated will be required to present their NHS COVID Pass. The pass is downloadable through NHS App and will confirm that the individual is fully vaccinated or has had a negative result in the last 48 hours.  (h/t official Tottenham website)
