In May, 90min France reported that both City and PSG had stepped up their pursuit, with Monaco reportedly valuing the midfielder around €70 million. Pep Guardiola is said to admire Akliouche’s left-footed creativity and versatility, seeing him as a potential long-term successor to Bernardo Silva.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg noted that Bayer Leverkusen still regard Akliouche as a dream signing, though their chances appear slim given the high price and stiff competition. With Manchester City firmly in the mix, Plettenberg added that the Frenchman is one of the key players to watch as Deadline Day approaches.

The Telegraph reports that Tottenham are interested in French attacking midfielder Maghnes Akliouche after missing out on Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White. Monaco would be willing to sell him if it received an attractive bid.

L’Equipe reported Wednesday that Akliouche, who scored in Monaco’s 3-1 win over Le Havre on Saturday, will remain with the club. With each passing day, the likelihood of him staying in the Principality for another season continues to rise.
