Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement worth more than €20 million for the transfer of Udinese sensation Destiny Udogie, reports Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Having agreed personal terms with Udogie a few days ago, the north Londoners have now struck an agreement with the Serie A outfit.

The 19-year-old enjoyed his breakthrough campaign last term, netting five goals and three assists in Serie A.

Juventus were also interested in the Italian prodigy, but Spurs managed to win the race, with both Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici huge admirers of the player.

Udogie is the Lilywhites’ seventh signing of the summer following the arrivals of Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence.

However, the Italian U-21 international will only move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2023 as he will remain on loan at Udinese this season.

Udogie mainly operated as a left-wing back last season, although he showed versatility by playing as a left-back and a central midfielder.

Conte will rely on Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic at the left wing-back position this season, and Udogie is one for the future.

Having nearly done with their business in the transfer market, Tottenham are now focused on clearing out the outcasts. They could sign another forward, with Nicolo Zaniolo and Memphis Depay on the wishlist.

Conte’s side are off to a great start to the 2022/23 Premier League season, steamrolling Southampton 4-1 in their opening game.

They will be up against fellow London rivals Chelsea this Sunday in a mouthwatering encounter.
