Tottenham Hotspur will aim to halt their dismal form in the Premier League when they host Leicester City tomorrow.
The 3-2 defeat to Everton last weekend was their third consecutive league loss. The Lilywhites have been winless in the league since a 5-0 win over Southampton on December 15.
Spurs are only eight points away from the relegation zone in 15th place, a poor position for a club expected to compete for a top-four spot.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have collected two points from their last six home league fixtures. Only Southampton have suffered more defeats and shipped more goals in the same period.
Postecoglou promised a trophy in his second season, and their exploits in the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League are the only thing keeping him in a job.
Tottenham have been the more dominant team in their clashes with Leicester, winning three of their past five meetings.
However, Spurs have not won in their last two league games against the Foxes, drawing the reverse fixture 1-1 in Leicester. Their prior meeting ended in a 4-1 defeat for Tottenham.
Tottenham’s struggles can be linked to injuries. Rodrigo Bentancur and Fraser Forster returned against Hoffenheim, but Djed Spence, Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma remain doubtful.
Guglielmo Vicario, Timo Werner, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Wilson Odobert, Destiny Udogie and Brennan Johnson will miss the game through injury.
Dominic Solanke is also set to miss the next six weeks with a knee injury, further compounding the situation.
If Sarr and Bissouma fail to recover, Postecoglou is likely to stick with the midfield trio that played in midweek.
Richarlison is expected to lead the line for the first time in a Premier League game this season, while Mikey Moore may come on from the bench.
(4-3-3): Kinsky; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Reguilon; Bentancur, Bergvall, Maddison; Kulusevski, Son, Richarlison.
