Tottenham plan talks to terminate Rose contract

Tottenham are set to hold talks with fullback Danny Rose regarding the termination of his contract.

The 30-year-old is frozen out by Jose Mourinho and is not in the team's Premier League or Europa League squads.

According to Football Insider, Spurs are eager to get the former England international off their wage bill.

They could agree to a mutual termination, as his deal of £70,000-a-week has eight months to run.

It is possible Spurs will pay Rose off with a sum that is less than the total worth of his contract.

Being a free agent would make it easier for him to find a new team in January.
