Tottenham have reportedly been knocked back in their attempts to sign Yannick Carrasco during the late stage of this window.

That’s according to a story in the Athletic which says that the north London side spoke to the Spanish club earlier in the window about landing the Belgium international.

However Diego Simeone’s men are believed to have told Spurs that their enquiry was too late and that he will not be leaving before the deadline.

There is hope though, that a deal could be done at the end of the season.

Carrasco has been an integral part of the Atleti side this season, scoring two goals in 29 appearances.
