Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho was delighted with his team's second-half performance against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
Spurs were played off the park by the visitors in the first-half, and Timo Werner deservedly gave Chelsea the lead going into the break.
But Tottenham responded with a late equaliser through Eric Lamela and eventually won 5-4 on penalties to book their place in the quarter-finals.
Speaking about the display, Mourinho said: "We were ready to fight, I told you. I told the players before the penalties that they were magnificent in the second half, we made Chelsea look ordinary. The team waited for the right moment.
"I have to think about three games at the same time but the players only thought about this game, they were phenomenal. Phenomenal."
