Hull City's Jaden Philogene has been the standout player in an impressive Tigers side so far this year, as manager Liam Rosenior pushes for a top six finish in the Championship.
Philogene has been an important part of why Hull are currently sitting inside the play-off spots of the Championship, with his eight goals and six assists being an incredible total for a player with just 20 appearances in the league so far.
Hull paid £5 million to Aston Villa for the player, who spent last season on loan at Cardiff City, and while it looked like somewhat of a risk paying that high a fee for the 22-year-old, the Tigers have managed to find an absolute bargain who will make them their money back and even more in the years to come.
With how impressive he has been so far this season, it is no surprise to see Premier League clubs showing interest in the former Villa forward.
Despite only joining the club in the summer, Philogene could leave Hull later this year after just one season at the MKM Stadium, with Tottenham Hotspur linked with a move for the 22-year-old.
With the club already adding a number of wingers to the squad recently, Philogene could join the likes of Brennan Johnson and Manor Soloman in signing for Spurs, along with regular starters Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min.
The North London club are reportedly interested in a move for the tricky winger, with TEAMtalk reporting that he fits the bill for the type of player Ange Postelogcu wants in his squad.
This interest comes after new boss Postecoglu has impressed in his first year as manager in the Premier League and is quickly imprinting himself and his style of play onto the squad.
Philogene could become a key part of the team, which has incorporated many young stars into the side in recent months.
Players like Brennan Johnson, Destiny Udogie and Micky van de Ven have all come in and impressed in the first-team this season, showing how much trust the Australian manager is giving to players that are of a certain age or younger.
Spurs will be confident in striking a deal for the player if they are that keen on him, despite the existence of a buyback clause in his contract.
After his move from Villa in the summer, the club have retained a £15 million option to sign the player.
However, that only activates if Hull win promotion to the Premier League, and should another club bid higher than that, the Midlands outfit will have to match the figure.
Whilst Hull currently sit sixth in the Championship, the form that clubs like Leeds United, Southampton and Ipswich Town have shown so far makes going up unlikely for the Tigers, although not beyond the realms of possibility.
With Spurs allowing wingers like Johnson and Son freedom out wide to attack, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium looks like the ideal place for Philogene to improve his game while playing to his strengths and with his own style of play.
The Hull attacker is more comfortable with the ball at his feet, with the stats for this season showing that he completes 3.07 dribbles per 90 minutes on average in the Championship.
He also created 1.82 chances per game, with his 0.31 assists per 90 minutes putting him among the top 11% of players in his position in the league - this is despite Hull being one of the lowest scoring teams in the top half of the table, with Philogene contributing to 33% of the Tigers' goals so far.
The biggest worry for the player would be playing time, but that doesn't look like it'll be a huge issue for him at Spurs.
While places in the team were limited at Villa, there will be more opportunities for game time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the club potentially also having UEFA Champions League football to play - if not one of the minor European competitions, which would create plenty of chances for minutes as well as domestic cup competitions.
Postecoglou has used Son as a striker at times this season, as well as playing right-winger Kulusevski in an attacking midfield role - mainly in the absence of Maddison through injury.
This could still leave space on the wing for Philogene to compete for though, and he could nail down a position if he can perform as well as he has done at Hull.
He is happy to pick the ball up on the wing - left or right - and beat a man with pace and trickery, before fashioning a chance either for himself or a teammate - that is something that can improve any team, and has become more of a rarity in modern football.
It would not be a surprise to see Spurs making a move for Philogene in the summer, even if they would likely not be able to sign him for the £15 million that Villa can get him for if Hull are promoted.
