Transfer News: Tottenham hotspur looking to beat Manchester United to Joachim Andersen

According to Teamtalk, Tottenham Hotspur is keen to beat Manchester United to the signing of Danish international Joachim Andersen.

Originally from Olympique Lyon, the 24-year-old’s contract at Lyon runs until 2024 and he is said to be available for as little as £25m. It represents good value for a defender with Premier League experience, entering his best years.

It is common knowledge that United are in the market for a new defender. So are Tottenham and both teams look to be on a collision course for the Fulham ace.

Having dismissed Jose Mourinho, another rebuild looks to be on the cards at Tottenham. They are willing to sell Davinson Sanchez in order to make space for the Dane.

Tottenham have been in contact with Andersen’s representatives and could be about to make their move. While Andersen is far from the finished product, he is a promising prospect who could go a long way in his career.
