TalkSPORT reporter Alex Crook believes that Antonio Conte leaving Tottenham in the summer is a “realistic possibility”.
The Italian only replaced Nuno Espirito Santo three months ago, but there have already been doubts over his future in North London.
What’s the latest news involving Conte?
Despite Tottenham well-placed to qualify for the Champions League, it’s been a whirlwind few months for Conte since he signed an 18-month deal.
He’s had to deal with a Covid-19 outbreak, some horrible luck with injuries and has constantly spoken about the level not being high enough in the squad. In fact, after the first leg Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea last month, the Spurs boss urged the club to match his ambition if they want to compete for major trophies again.
Conte wasn’t overly backed in the recent January transfer window, with the hierarchy failing to add the centre-back, right wing-back or striker that he wanted, although the board did manage to move on four squad players that clearly weren’t in his plans.
Furthermore, they signed Juventus pair Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, which came after the Spurs boss said that he knew it wasn’t possible to fix everything in one window.

When asked whether he’ll see out the entirety of his deal recently, he didn’t make any promises that he’ll still be at Tottenham at the end of next season.
But he did say that he’s enjoying his time at the club and Football.London believe that he was content with the January business that Spurs managed to complete.
However, Crook reckons that if he doesn’t get his way this summer, he could walk away from the job.
What did Crook say about Conte?
He told GIVEMESPORT: “If he’s frustrated in the summer, then I think there would be a realistic possibility [he could leave] because he was made a lot of assurances when he came in, and so far, they’ve not been met.”
Could Conte leave in the summer?
Right now, Tottenham and Conte appear to be on the right track. Despite not getting some of his January targets, Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici signed him two Juventus players, which would have no doubt pleased him to some extent.
But Conte left Juventus just days into their pre-season after he guided them to a third consecutive Serie A title back in 2014 and repeated the feat with Inter Milan last summer, soon after they ended their long wait to be crowned Italian champions, so an early exit would appear far from ruled out.
Furthermore, there were some high-profile exits that simply weren’t in his plans.
