Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign AS Roma attacking midfielder Paulo Dybala, according to Tuttojuve.

Despite grinding out four wins in their last five matches, Tottenham still lack a creative spark in midfield since James Maddison suffered an injury last November.

Spurs are now looking at Dybala, who has recorded six assists this season, to provide creativity in Ange Postecoglou’s midfield.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle United are all vying for the Argentine’s signature. Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in the Argentina international.

Dybala’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico is set to expire in June 2025, and as per Spanish reports, the 30-year-old has a reduced release clause of £11.2 million.

Dybala is ib high demand

Dybala is regarded as one of the most creative midfielders in Europe having excelled in Italy for years, particularly during his time at Juventus.

He achieved significant success, winning the Serie A title five times and reaching the Champions League final once.

Dybala continued his silverware spree after signing for Roma, where he won the maiden Europa Conference League and reached the Europa League final but lost out to Sevilla.

Man United and Chelsea are interested in Dybala, with the former seeing him as a potential key addition to their attack.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants Dybala at Stamford Bridge, while Tottenham are another potential landing spot.

Dybala would take some of the creative burden off James Maddison, who is working his way back to fitness after a spell on the sidelines.

Although Spurs are currently prioritising a move for a defender, they may target Dybala to boost their hopes of securing a top-four finish.
