Tottenham Hotspur are currently without a permanent manager with Ryan Mason serving as their acting boss.
However, they are still trying to make some early signings ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Spurs have been credited with an interest in Victor Nelsson, who has been earning rave reviews with his performances in Turkey.
The 24-year-old joined Galatasaray in 2021 and has made 78 appearances in all competitions for the club.
He has been a key member of the Turkish side this season, starting 31 league matches.
His performances have sparked interest from several top clubs, but Tottenham appear to have won the race for him.
As per Sporx, Tottenham initially made a €13 million bid for the Danish footballer but that was immediately turned down by Galatasaray.
However, Skorer (via Asist Analiz) are now reporting the English outfit are ready to pay the defender’s €25m release clause.
The Lilywhites are set for a major squad overhaul this summer after a highly disappointing 2022-23 campaign.
They need defensive reinforcements as they bid to make a comeback next season.
Spurs are currently eighth in the Premier League table with 57 points from 37 matches.
Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Brentford has put them in danger of missing out on European football for next term.
They face Leeds United in their final fixture of the season on Sunday.
