Tottenham Hotspur look set to secure their second acquisition of the January transfer window.
Timo Werner is officially a Tottenham Hotspur player. The ex-Chelsea forward has joined up with Ange Postecoglou, his coaching staff and the first-team squad as they look forward to facing Manchester United on Sunday.
However, Postecgolou was always in the market for a centre-back, amid a bit of an injury crisis at the club.
Well, it appears he’s got his man, 21-year-old Radu Dragusin. He’s been recently spotted at the airport on his way to London.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has also shared images of the Romanian centre-half at the airport ahead of his proposed move to North London. He wrote on his blog:
‘Dragusin is ready for his new adventure in the Premier League: the Romanian defender has just left the Genoa training centre, where he went to say goodbye to his teammates, and is leaving, heading to London, for medical examinations and signing with Tottenham.’
‘The Dragusin-Tottenham operation was also successful thanks to the valuable work of the player’s agents, Valerio and Gabriele Giuffrida together with Florin Manea: they were important to keep the threads of the situation and unblock the operation in the night. The agents, along with the player, are now on their way to London for the signings and all the formal steps of the deal.’
‘Dragusin then joins Tottenham for €25m plus €6m in bonuses. The defender will sign a contract until 2029 and will receive a salary of almost €3 million net per season.’
Postecoglou appears to have his man, medical permitting of course.
The Spurs News also reported today that English full-back Djed Spence will be going in the other direction.
It will initially be a loan deal for the 23-year-old, with an option to buy – which does look very cheap at first glance…
