Tottenham Hotspur star Ryan Sessegnon would prefer to stay in the Premier League despite interest from clubs in Europe, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Sessegnon had another injury-riddled season at Spurs and made just two appearances for the north London club.

He is expected to leave Spurs as a free agent this summer, departing Tottenham having seen injuries derail his spell.

The agents of Sessegnon are trying to find him a new club and several clubs are interested in getting their hands on the wing-back this summer.

Several clubs in Europe are considering snapping him up on a free transfer, but it has been claimed that the player has a preference.

Sessegnon would prefer to continue in the Premier League even after he leaves Tottenham this summer.

He wants to prove himself in the English top flight and would give preference to clubs in the Premier League over interest from abroad.

Tottenham signed him from Fulham in 2019 but he only made 57 appearances for the north London club.

He also had a loan spell at Hoffenheim but for now, the wing-back wants to find a club in the Premier League.
