In a recent report, Daily Express stated that Tottenham Hotspur are all set to secure their seventh singing as they look to strike a deal with Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie. It is understood that Ivan Perisic’s arrival marked the advancement in the Spurs’ defensive department, but a long-term replacement plan is also in the process as they look to secure this youngster.

Is It A Good Move From Tottenham Hotspur Boss Antonio Conte?

Destiny Udogie is the only other wing-back apart from Ivan Perisic to have contributed to the attack, scoring and creating as many goals as they did last season. He can make dangerous runs down the left flank and even set up his teammates in front of the goal using his wide array of crossing abilities.

The 19-year-old has been a consistent performer on the defensive end as well as he can time his tackles and doesn’t mind clearing his lines when the opposition is on the front foot. Antonio Conte has already reunited with Perisic as he deems him vital for the Lilywhites in their run for the title. The imminent seventh signing of this young left-back makes it even more prevalent that the Italian tactician has planned to make the wing-backs absolutely vital for the Spurs’ attack.

Udogie will make a decent long-term replacement for Perisic as he’s already 33 years old as of now. The Lilywhites will probably secure the young prospect from Udinese and then loan him back to them as they hope to bring him back to North London next season.
