Tottenham Hotspur look set to step up their interest in Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou in the coming days. According to a report this evening, the North London club will look to sound the Australian out about the possibility of succeeding Antonio Conte at Spurs this summer.

According to a report from The Daily Record, Spurs will look to step up their interest in the 57-year-old in the coming days as they look to build ahead of the new season. The report states that they will look to put together a package that would entice the Celtic boss to consider a switch to London.

Daniel Levy has been rebuffed by Feyenoord boss Arne Slot, who used the interest to get a new deal with the Dutch side. The London club are famously the only sides that serial winners Jose Mourinho and Conte have been unable to secure silverware with, with their reigns ending in acrimonious splits.

There is a massive rebuild at Spurs this summer but you could certainly see the opportunity to manage in the Premier League with the facilities that Spurs have, appealing to any manager. Hopefully Celtic are able to retain Ange, especially with the draw of playing Champions League football again next year. There is a clear connection between the players, manager and fans.

Ange will see his side collect the Premiership trophy for the second successive season and he will be keen that next weekend he can add his name to the club’s Roll of Honour by presiding over a Treble at Hampden.
