Tottenham are pressing ahead in their pursuit of Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, with TEAMtalk reporting that “Tottenham are confident they have put together a framework of a deal for Eberechi Eze that will satisfy Crystal Palace.” The north London club have been working to reach an agreement quickly, seeing an opportunity after Arsenal opted not to lodge a bid.
The Gunners’ hesitation has left Eze “more open minded about where his future lies,” and Spurs believe they are now in prime position to secure one of the Premier League’s most creative midfielders.
Contact between Tottenham and Crystal Palace was made a week ago, with Spurs developing a clear plan to progress talks. While there is an understanding that Palace could reject their first proposal, Tottenham remain poised to respond immediately with a follow-up offer. Their intention is to close the deal swiftly, believing their proposal structure is capable of meeting Palace’s requirements.
Eze is valued at £55 million by Tottenham, although Palace’s stance is firmer, with an asking price of £68 million. TEAMtalk report that the 26-year-old “is waiting on the deal to now open up but it is likely he has played his last game for Palace.”

Reports have long linked Eze with Arsenal, and there was a belief he would have been open to a move to the Emirates had a bid arrived. However, TEAMtalk suggest that Arsenal were “not certain that Eze would get into Mikel Arteta’s starting XI.” With captain Martin Odegaard occupying the No.10 role, the Gunners were reluctant to disrupt their midfield balance.
That caution has opened the door for Tottenham to step in, and Spurs now appear to have a clear run at completing the signing before the end of the window.
Eze is not the only attacking target for Tottenham. The club are reportedly preparing an improved offer for Manchester City winger Savinho, having seen an initial £42 million bid turned down. City’s valuation is thought to be around £67 million.

Elsewhere, Juventus are monitoring Yves Bissouma and could make a formal move. This comes at a time when Spurs are already dealing with the long-term absence of James Maddison, whose injury has ruled him out for most of the season.
Eze’s arrival would inject dynamism and creativity into Tottenham’s midfield, offering Thomas Frank another weapon in breaking down defences. His ability to operate centrally or drift into wide areas makes him a versatile addition to an already ambitious attacking project.
If Spurs can strike an agreement with Palace, this could be one of the standout moves of the summer window, reshaping the club’s creative options for years to come.
For Tottenham fans, this potential move for Eze feels like a statement. Spurs have often been linked with big names but securing a player of his calibre, in his prime and proven in the Premier League, would send a clear message of intent. His creativity, dribbling and vision could ease the creative burden on the squad, particularly with Maddison out for most of the season.
There is also a sense of satisfaction in moving ahead of Arsenal for a target they were long associated with. For many supporters, that adds an extra layer of excitement. Eze’s price tag will spark debate, but in today’s market, a player with his skill set and homegrown status is a valuable asset.
If Spurs can also land Savinho and fend off Juventus’ interest in Bissouma, the club would enter the season with arguably their most balanced and dangerous squad in recent memory. For fans, the priority is simple: get Eze through the door quickly and give Frank the tools to push for silverware and a strong league finish.
