In a recent report, Yahoo Sports claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in Nottingham Forest ace Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer. It has been mentioned that Spurs are eyeing a move to recruit the English wide player in the upcoming transfer period.

Hudson-Odoi has experienced a promising campaign at the Midlands club after putting in a string of eye-catching displays for them out on the flanks. The 23-year-old has played in 35 matches for Nottingham this season, finding the back of the net eight times and picking up a couple of assists across all competitions.

The English winger has proven his worth in the final third by averaging 1.3 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.5 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He has even been careful when interchanging possession with his teammates based on his pass completion rate of 85.2% in the English top tier (stats via whoscored).

Hudson-Odoi’s current contract at the City Ground will expire in the summer of 2026. Hence, Tottenham would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting the Nottingham wide player later this year.

Is Hudson-Odoi A Good Fit For Tottenham Hotspur?

Hudson-Odoi has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker in the opposition half. He is a good dribbler with the ball and can create some meaningful chances for others around him on the offensive end of the field.

The English talent can strike the ball with venom from long range and can chip in by scoring a handful of important goals for his team. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also function as a right-winger or play in the number ten position if told to do so.

We can expect Hudson-Odoi to inject more firepower into Tottenham head coach Angelos Postecoglu’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.

At 23, Hudson-Odoi has a lot of room to grow as a footballer. Therefore, he would be a great fit for Tottenham‘s needs in the long run. With all things considered, Spurs would be wise to go for someone with his skillset this summer.
