In a recent report, The Daily Mirror claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are in talks to recruit Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa. It is understood that Spurs are trying to get a deal done for the Norwegian youngster quickly before sending him back on loan to Belgium until the end of this campaign.

Nusa’s Rapid Rise In Belgian Football

The 18-year-old is having an impressive season at the Belgian club after putting in a handful of eye-catching displays for them in the Jupiler Pro League. Nusa has done well to register three goals and earn three assists in 26 appearances for Club Brugge during this campaign in all competitions.

The Norwegian prospect has been a reliable performer out on the flanks and deserves credit for averaging 1.9 shots, 1.2 key passes and 2.8 dribbles per game in the Jupiler Pro League. He has even been accurate with his ball distribution based on his pass completion rate of 80.8% the top tier of Belgian football (stats via whoscored).

Nusa’s current contract at Club Brugge will run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, Spurs would struggle to land him on the cheap before the end of this transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur Are In Talks To Recruit Nusa: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Nusa can chip in by scoring and creating some important goals for his team in the final third. He is a good dribbler with the ball and can strike the ball purely and with venom from long range.

The Norwegian youngster can even create some decent plays for others around him from the wide areas. He mainly operates as a left-winger but can also function on the right-wing or play as a secondary striker down the middle if told to do so.

Nusa is undeniably a prospect to watch out for in the future. Thus, Spurs boss Angelos Postecoglu would do well to bring him on board this winter. At 18, Nusa has the potential to become a world-class player in his position someday.

With all things considered, the Club Brugge whizkid would be an excellent fit for Tottenham‘s needs in the long run. He might even go on to succeed Heung-min Son at the North London club if he can continue to improve over the next few years.
