In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to land Girona winger Savio, who is currently playing on loan from Troyes, next year. It has been mentioned that Spurs are eyeing a January move for the Brazilian wing wizard but could face competition from Real Madrid in pursuit of him.

Savio’s Impressive Loan Spell At Girona

Savio has made a decent start to his loan spell at Girona as he has produced a run of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 19-year-old has banged in a couple of goals and earned four assists in eight matches for the Spanish outfit this season across multiple competitions.

The talented teenager has been a consistent performer in the opponent’s half based on his average of 1.3 shots, 1.1 key passes and 2.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even been tidy when interchanging possession with his teammates after completing 81.1% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at his parent club Troyes will run out in 2027. Hence, Spurs will have to pay a big fee if they want to lure Savio to English football this winter.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Angelos Postecoglu Move In For Savio?

Savio can create some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play a handful of decisive passes in the final third and can even make some driving runs with the ball out on the flanks.

The Brazilian sensation is primarily a left-winger but can also function as a right-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can maintain his good form in Premier League football.

We can expect Savio to inject more firepower into Tottenham head coach Angelos Postecoglu’s attack. He might even help Spurs challenge for a top-four spot and maybe even secure a major trophy or two in the coming seasons.

All in all, the North London club should focus on moving in for Savio when the transfer window reopens this January or at the end of this campaign.
