In a recent tweet, former BBC Scotland News journalist Fraser Gillan revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are eager to land Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo. It has been stated that Spurs remain keen on acquiring the services of the English centre-back but Fulham are unwilling to let him go this summer.

Adarabioyo’s Impressive Form In Premier League Football

Adarabioyo is enjoying a solid season at Craven Cottage after putting in a series of impressive performances at the centre of Fulham’s defence. The Manchester-born talent has made 24 appearances for the Cottagers during this campaign, finding the back of the net on two occasions across all fronts.

The 26-year-old has been a rock at the back based on his average of 1.1 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 3.9 clearances per game in the Premier League. He has even been distributed the ball relatively well from inside his half as evidenced by his pass success rate of 85.2% in the English first division (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at Fulham will run out at the end of this campaign. Hence, Spurs could potentially recruit him on a free transfer later this summer.

Adarabioyo is a tough-tackling defender who can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t hesitate to clear the danger when the opposition are on the front foot and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.

Standing at 1.96m, the English talent can be a towering presence inside his half. He has proven his worth in Premier League football and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if Spurs can manage to get him on board this summer.

We can expect Adarabioyo to add more bite and steel to Tottenham‘s backline. He might even help Angelos Postecoglu’s side compete across all competitions in the coming seasons.
