Swansea City centre-back Nathan Wood is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The 20-year-old is being monitored by the north London duo following an outstanding campaign with the Championship club.

Wood has featured in 38 games across all competitions for Swansea this term.

The Welsh club are 14th in the Championship after 41 games, nine points off the play-off places.

Premier League promotion looks off the cards and Wood could be keen on moving on.

Swansea want to hand him a new deal to prevent him from leaving this summer.

However, the chance to play with the big boys could be too tempting for him to turn down.

Wood made his debut for England under-21 last month in their 2-1 loss to Croatia.

Despite the result at Craven Cottage, his performances caught the eyes of watching scouts.

Both Spurs and the Gunners will be keeping tabs on him ahead of the next transfer window.

He has already represented England at various youth levels.

The former Middlesbrough man will be keen to break into Gareth Southgate’s senior team ahead of next year’s European Championship.

A move to the Premier League will boost his chances, but he will need to play regularly for that to happen.

Arsenal have William Saliba, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, Rob Holding and Jakub Kiwior as their current centre-back options.

Wood will be sixth in the pecking order if he joins the Premier League leaders, which will not do his development any good.

Spurs are also not short of options at the back, with six players available.
