Tottenham are interested in Birmingham City’s Jobe Bellingham as work on a deal to sign him in the summer.

The midfielder, who is the younger brother of England international Jude, is highly-rated at St. Andrew’s and has featured in 14 games for John Eustace this season.

However, there are doubts about his long-term future as a host of clubs have been credited with an interest in the 17-year-old.

And, according to Football Insider, Spurs are stepping up their interest in the teenager as they look to move ahead of rival clubs from the Premier League and the Bundesliga who are also keeping tabs on Bellingham.

Any club will need to agree a fee with Blues as they moved to give the youngster a professional contract on his 17th birthday in September last year, with his deal running until the summer of 2024.

Older brother Jude is also expected to be subject of transfer interest in the summer and Birmingham will be keeping an eye on developments as they have a sell-on clause as part of the deal that took him to Borussia Dortmund.

Have any of these 14 ex-Birmingham City players ever made a World Cup appearance?

Yes No

The verdict

Blues know that it’s going to be very tough to keep hold of Bellingham beyond this summer as he is going to have some great opportunities come his way in the coming months.

So, a departure does seem on the cards but Bellingham will know that he has been given chances by Blues and he may choose to stay to get more minutes moving forward.

Either way, it seems as though this is one to monitor in the coming months and the youngster could have a decision to make in the next window.
