Tottenham hero Hoddle: It'd be 'ridiculous' to sack Mourinho now

Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle does not believe the club should even entertain the prospect of sacking Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese is under huge pressure at the London club after his side have slipped down the table.

Spurs have 12 points from their last 12 league games, and have five defeats in the past six matches.

Asked about the situation, Hoddle told the Evening Standard about sacking Mourinho: "No I don't, not at the moment.

"He has been brought in to bring silverware, he is in a cup final.

"How can you sack somebody who has got a cup final in April?

"It is ridiculous. That is the reason why he has been brought in."
