After talks with Juventus broke down, PSG has sent Randal Kolo Muani to Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. The move gives the French forward a chance to regain the form he showed during his time in Italy, as a permanent stay was financially unfeasible.

In the final hours of the summer transfer window, Kolo Muani had been linked with Aston Villa and Newcastle United, but Tottenham ultimately secured his services for the 2025-26 season.

Moreover, the Premier League side are receiving a positive outlook for making this swoop in the final hours of the summer window.

Tottenham made an opportunistic move for PSG outcast

Once the move to Spurs was made official and the PSG attacker went to the London-based club, ESPN FC offered a reaction to the signing which praised Tottenham for jumping on the player who they have been eyeing since the January transfer window.

“I mean an opportunistic deal because it looked for all the world at the weekend that he was going to go to Juventus,” one ESPN FC host said. “He spent the second half of last season on loan there from Paris Saint-Germain.

“Did well, and he wanted to go there as well, but that deal collapsed, and Spurs sensed an opportunity, and they moved very quickly. We know that Spurs have held an interest in him before. He’s been linked with United as well at one stage in January.

“But Spurs were certainly looking at him in January last season, but couldn’t get a deal over the line. So I think it’s a little bit of a coup for Spurs because it’s a loan deal with no option or obligation, and remember that PSG paid €90 million to Eintracht Frankfurt for Kolo Muani just a couple of years ago.

“So clearly a lot of clubs think there’s a really big talent in there, and he has scored goals where he’s been. He needs to stay fit and have a run in the team. But you can see him being a powerful option for Thomas Frank, as Spurs have had a bit of a mess of a window until the last week or so getting [Xavi] Simons and Kolo Muani.”
