Bayern Munich target Harry Kane is offered new deal by Spurs.

According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane “wants” to sign for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich this summer.

Kane is out of contract in 2024 and he is being heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham. This comes after his 30-goal season for the Premier League strugglers in 2022/23.

The Englishman has been identified by Erik ten Hag as a top striker target for Man Utd, but they are expected to pursue cheaper alternatives with Spurs reportedly holding out for around £100m for their prized asset.

Bayern Munich are also trying to sign Kane as they are in the market for Robert Lewandwoski’s long-term replacement.

Earlier this week, the Bundesliga giants submitted their first official bid for Kane, which was quickly rejected by Tottenham. They are now expected to make a new bid for the prolific striker.

Journalist Dean Jones has now revealed that “German sources are adamant” that Kane “wants this move to Bayern Munich”.

“Munich doesn’t have the same pull as Madrid or Barcelona, no doubt it’s a giant, but German sources are adamant, they are adamant that Kane wants this move to Bayern Munich, and that kind of blows my mind if that’s the case,” Jones said on The Done Deal Show.

“They’ve obviously had conversations around this with his brother and others and they believe these bids are worth making.”

Earlier this week, former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp boldly claimed that Kane is “certain to stay” this summer.

“[Harry Kane] is certain to stay at Tottenham. I think he is building a new house,” Redknapp told BBC Radio Wales.

“Family would be the all-important thing for him, so there’s no chance he’s going to Bayern Munich. He’ll be staying at Tottenham.

“He’s not going to want to go to Germany – he’s not taking his family over there, not a chance. So if he stays here, unless you go to Manchester City, you’re not guaranteed to win anything.

“You could go to Manchester United and not win anything. You can go to Chelsea or anywhere else you want to go. At the moment, City are winning everything. They’re on a different level – but City don’t need him. They’ve got Erling Haaland up front and there’s not a spot for Kane any more.

“There’s not a move for him really so I think he’ll stay at Tottenham, I really do. I’m very confident about that.”
