Roma has sacked former Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho.
On Tuesday morning, AS Roma confirmed they’d be parting ways with Jose Mourinho after two and a half seasons at the club.
Mourinho has been severely struggling in the Serie A this season. After last weekend’s defeat to AC Milan, the Italian side now sit ninth in the table – an enormous distance from the top spot.
This led to Roma calling it quits on the Portuguese manager, who now departs with his coaching staff looking for his next footballing venture.

It’s mental to think how much has changed at Tottenham Hotspur since Jose Mourinho was infamously sacked before the Carabao Cup final three years ago now.
Spurs are now in a much better position under Ange Postecoglou. The Aussie manager appears to have a clear vision and a long-term goal moving forward – something Mourinho didn’t have at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs fans have quickly taken to social media following the sacking and are all saying the same thing about their former man at the helm. They all reckon he’s ‘finished’.
A first says: ‘Jose Mourinho’s PR is through the roof. Sacked from his 3rd club in 5 years but people will still be rating stuff he did over a decade ago. Finished manager.’
Another adds: ‘Mourinho’s rep is FINISHED.. this has to be the dagger now.’
‘Is it safe to say Jose Mourinho is finished at the top level of football management?’ a third questions.
‘Mourinho being sacked at Spurs and Roma is the vindication I needed man. He is FINISHED,’ an evident ant-Mourinho fan states.
A final adds, which sets the scene up nicely… ‘Mourinho is surely finished now, what does he do next?’
That is now the burning question. One of the all-time great managers in a rut after being sacked from Roma, his reputation is in tatters.
A Premier League return would be an entertaining scenario for neutrals, but he also could try his hat at a national side.
Whatever happens, everyone can agree football is better with Moutinho around. We hope he finds a club soon.
