Tottenham Hotspur are still eyeing a potential move for the Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

The north London club are long-term admirers of the Englishman, but will face some stern competition if they are to bring him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And any potential move for the 23-year-old would not come cheap with the Eagles setting a lofty valuation on their defender.

Tottenham keen on Marc Guehi

According to a report from Sports Lens, Ange Postecoglou’s side are just one of a host of Premier League clubs showing an interest in Guehi.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all believed to hold an interest in the 23-year-old ahead of the summer.

Palace are believed to hold a £60m valuation on the centre-back ahead of the summer and the player is said to hold ambitions which will lead him to seeking a move away from Selhurst Park.

Although Guehi’s contract does not hold a release clause like some of Palace’s other top talents, the Londoners do still have two years remaining on his deal going into the summer.

Tottenham still eyeing defensive additions

There have been a number of new defensive additions arrive at Hotspur Way over the last two transfer windows with Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin being the big-money signings.

And there have now been suggestions that Spurs could look to bring back Kyle Walker-Peters as they turn their attention to the full-back positions.

As it seems Postecoglou is still not fully satisfied with his options at the back, Fabio Paratici’s influence at the club may still pay off.

The Italian was believed to be a big fan of the centre-back during his time as the sporting director in north London.

“So Guehi they really like. Paratici definitely really likes Mark Guehi,” journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke said a number of transfer windows ago.

At a believed £60m, this would be yet another huge addition to the defence and could surely only be done if Spurs are to secure a spot in the top four.

However, even then, it has to be questioned whether Postecoglou would be able to keep four big name centre-backs happy with their game time.
