Antonio Conte is to be dismissed as Tottenham coach before the end of this week, according to a report on Monday night.

That comes from the Telegraph and is on the back of a poor run of form and the Italian’s fiery press conference in the wake of the collapse at Southampton.

According to the report, club officials now view the situation with Conte as irretrievable and a parting of the ways is set to be agreed this week.

Conte is currently at home in Italy during the international break but discussions are set to take place between the parties.

As he did when José Mourinho was sacked, Ryan Mason is set to be placed in temporary charge while a long-term successor is found.
