Tottenham are “definitely” interested in signing Everton forward Richarlison, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Antonio Conte is in the process of building a squad capable of challenging on all fronts and his side have been linked with a move for the Brazilian.

What’s the latest news involving Richarlison?

According to the Telegraph, Conte has asked ENIC to deliver him six players, and the Spurs hierarchy have already met some of his demands by bringing in Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma.

But the Spurs boss wants two players in every position and desperately wants to add depth to the forward areas.

Tottenham currently have Dejan Kulusevski, Heung Min Son and Harry Kane, but the expected departure of Steven Bergwijn will leave Lucas Moura as the club’s only backup attacking player.

Therefore, the Daily Mail believe that Conte is interested in Richarlison, who has expressed his desire to leave Everton, although the Goodison Park side are demanding around £50m for their talisman.

And while Jones confirmed Tottenham’s interest in the 25-year-old, with Raphinha also on Spurs’ radar, the transfer insider reckons they need to figure out which player is better value for money.

What did Jones say about Richarlison?

He told GIVEMESPORT: “He’s definitely someone they like, I don’t think they would sign him at all costs, though, I think that’s probably the main thing here.

“Also, you’ve got to consider the price they’re at. Raphinha and Richarlison seem to be in the same price bracket at the moment, and you’ve got to weigh up who’s better value? If you’re paying £60m, who’s better there, Raphinha or Richarlison?”

Would Richarlison or Raphinha be better suited to Tottenham?

If Conte does end up having to choose, it’ll be a tough decision to make, but a good position to find himself in.

Not only are both quality players, highlighted by the fact they’re regulars in a talented Brazil squad, but they’re proven in the Premier League and are coming off the back of impressive seasons for their respective teams.

Raphinha might have narrowly outscored his compatriot (1110), but he’s only ever played on the wing and with Spurs potentially needing a Bergwijn replacement as well, it seems like Conte might look to sign someone who offers versatility.

That’s where Richarlison comes into the equation. The 25-year-old has played down the middle and out wide more than 100 times in his career, which means bringing him in might make more sense for Tottenham.
