Tottenham defender Cristian Romero has avoided FA action after Sunday's fiery performance in their 2-2 draw at Chelsea.

In the second-half, Romero and Cucurella clashed inside Chelsea's defensive area.

Romero was seen pulling the Chelsea fullback down by his hair, but despite VAR official Mike Dean taking a look at the incident, Romero was not penalised and Chelsea were not awarded a free-kick.

From there, Tottenham managed to force a corner which led to Harry Kane heading home an injury-time equaliser.

The Daily Mail reports if both the referee and VAR missed the incident, Romero could be retroactively disciplined for pulling Cucurella's hair. However, as a VAR check did not find any wrongdoing in the incident, Romero cannot now be charged with violent conduct.
