The Daily Mail claims that Serge Aurier wants to leave Tottenham this summer.
The Ivorian has had a tough time with injuries since joining from Paris Saint-Germain and saw Kieran Trippier become the first-choice right-back under Mauricio Pochettino.
There is interest in the 26-year-old Ivorian, with AC Milan and his former club, PSG, keen on landing the right-back.
Aurier can join foreign clubs until 2nd September as their transfer windows are open, however, selling the defender would cause a bit of a problem for Spurs.
Aurier might not be the most consistent player at the club, but we would be light on natural right-backs should he be sold.
Tottenham cannot buy players until the next transfer window and we sold Trippier to Atletico Madrid in the summer. That leaves just Kyle Walker-Peters as the senior right-back in the current side, though Juan Foyth can play in that position.
The Argentine is out for a while with an ankle problem, and Pochettino’s options would be limited should Aurier leave.
Spurs can try Moussa Sissoko or Eric Dier in the full-back position, but that would be a huge risk.
Tottenham need to hold onto Aurier until January and then make a decision on his future as he could turn out to be a crucial backup player this season.
