Tottenham are looking to add Federico Chiesa to their attack but will have to fork over a considerable sum.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino wants new faces to help his team maintain the challenge across multiple competitions.
The Sun report that Tottenham want to bring in the Fiorentina winger, who has scored five goals in the league in addition to six in Coppa Italia, for nearly €81 million.
Spurs are not alone in their interest however, with the Lilywhites joining Italian sides Juventus, Inter, and Milan in their pursuit of the 21 year old.
Chiesa excels wide or centrally and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would need to open his chequebook to fend off the suitors from Serie A.
The Sun suggest that Chiesa is leaning towards relocating to London and that Chelsea’s transfer ban may help Tottenham’s chances of securing the player.
While Spurs prompted some jeers by failing to sign any players in the past two transfer windows, Levy is rumoured to be a fearsome negotiator when he’s determined.
