Tottenham have confirmed the departure of women’s head coach Robert Vilahamn.
The decision to part ways with Vilahamn follows the exit Ange Postecoglou at the start of the week, as major changes continue at Spurs.
Vilahamn exits after Spurs finished 11th in the WSL last season, just one place from the bottom of the table and relegation.
The Swede led Spurs to a top-six finish in the WSL and the club’s first-ever FA Cup final in his first season in charge, but last season saw a downturn in results.
In a statement, Spurs said: “We can confirm that women’s first team head coach Robert Vilahamn has left the club.”
Tottenham Women managing director Andy Rogers said: “There have been some special moments during Robert’s tenure, including reaching the FA Cup final for the first time.
“However, results and performances this season have not been to the level we would expect and now is the right time to make a change.
“We should like to thank Robert for his professionalism and efforts over the past two seasons, and we wish him well for the future.”
As well as the exits of Postecoglou and Vilahamn, there have also been significant boardroom changes at Spurs this week.
Daniel Levy’s right-hand woman Donna Cullen left on Monday, the same day former Arsenal director Vinai Venkatesham started work as new Spurs chief executive.
