Tottenham confirm deal for highly-rated Croatian defender

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Hajduk Split defender Luka Vušković.

A host of European clubs including Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool were all credited with interest in the teenager.

But the 16-year-old is set to join Ange Postecoglou’s side on a five-year contract in 2025 with a deal worth a reported £12m.

Vušković has enjoyed a meteoric rise since breaking into Hajduk’s first team in February as the Croatian top flight’s youngest-ever player.

He also became the club’s youngest-ever goal scorer by opening his senior account just a month later.
