Tottenham have completed the signing of Everton forward Richarlison for a fee which could reach a club record £60m.

The north London side have signed the Brazil international on a five-year contract, having agreed an initial fee of £50m with Everton, though the figure could rise to £60m with add-ons.

Should the deal reach that figure, it will eclipse the record £55m fee that took Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon to Spurs in 2020.

Richarlison becomes Spurs’ fourth signing of the summer, following deals for Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma as Antonio Conte overhauls his squad ahead of the club’s Champions League return.

Spurs are pressing ahead with their summer recruitment drive and are also in negotiations over a loan deal for Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet.

Conte is also interested in bringing Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence to the club and talks between the two sides have been described as ‘advanced’.

Richarlison scored 53 goals in 152 appearances across four seasons at Everton, who were willing to sanction his sale as the club look to meet the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules before the end of their financial year, which ends on midnight on July 1.
